What is the India Young Professionals Scheme?

The India Young Professionals Scheme is part of a bi-lateral agreement between India and the UK to promote closer ties between the two countries through allowing young professionals to gain work experience in the other’s country.

The India Young Professionals Scheme visa is very similar to the United Kingdom’s Youth Mobility Scheme. For Indian nationals in particular, the United Kingdom will allow 3000 applications per year and those that are successful will be able to live and work in the United Kingdom for up to two years.

Before you can apply for the visa, you must first enter the ballot. The results of the ballot will be picked at random and if you are successful you will then be able to apply for your visa. The ballot opens at 2:30pm IST on 28 February 2023 and closes at 2:30pm IST on 2 March 2023.

The link to enter the India Young Professionals Scheme ballot can be found here.
