In 2019, George Hanvere graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a First-Class Honours in Law (LLB) and went on to have a summer internship at Paragon Law where he experienced a broad range of roles within the firm. Following a successful period as an intern, George Hanvere was offered a full-time position as a Senior Caseworker in the Personal and Family Immigration team. In the Autumn of 2021 George was offered a training contract at Paragon Law and went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2023.

George Hanvere is a lead team member of our partnership with Here for Good that provides pro-bono legal aid to vulnerable EU, EEA and Swiss nationals in relation to the EU Settlement Scheme. George provides free immigration advice to clients by email, through a telephone helpline, and by taking on referrals from charities and support organisations. As part of his work with Here For Good, George Hanvere was recently shortlisted alongside his colleague Elliott Dipper for Community Award at Generation Next – Helping you thrive.

Areas of work

As an Immigration Solicitor, George Hanvere is able to do the following:

  • Provide assistance and advice in relation to the EU Settlement Scheme. This includes zambrano applications, late applications to the EU Settlement Scheme, and derivative rights of residence applications.
  • Provide advice and assistance to individuals with applications under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. This includes spouse entry clearance, leave to remain applications, and applications for leave to remain as the parent of a British citizen in the UK.
  • Provide advice and assistance to individuals with applications for British citizenship. This includes applications for minors to be registered as a British Citizen and applications for naturalisation as a British citizen.
  • Provide assistance and advice to refugees with the refugee family reunion application both within and outside of the Immigration Rules.
