Double nomination success for Paragon people
Kirin Abbas and Aldijana Becirevic have both been shortlisted as finalists in the Enterprising Women’s Excellence Awards, organised and hosted by the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.
Kirin Abbas, director and co-founder of Paragon Law, is one of three finalists in the Enterprising Business Woman of the Year category. In addition to leading the immigration team and working with fellow director Thalej Vasishta on the strategic direction of the firm, Kirin is responsible for all HR and people matters. Over the past 12 months, Kirin has been responsible for significant developments at the firm, including the formalization of a substantial operation in India and establishing an enviable internal culture.
The tenacity and commitment of a newly qualified Paragon Law solicitor to pursue her chosen career is recognised in the Enterprising Woman with Determination category. A refugee from the war in Bosnia, Aldijana Becirevic came to the UK as a child with her family, and is now a successful solicitor, assisting family members seeking to be reunited with relatives in the UK.
The winners of the first ever Excellence Awards will be announced on 3 July at Eastwood Hall Hotel, where the guest speaker will be one of the region’s success stories - Susi Henson from Eternal Spirits. For more information on the awards or to book tickets click here.
