Page: For Individuals - Student Visa Immigration AdviceStudent Visa Immigration AdviceIf you wish to study in the UK, Paragon Law can help you apply for a student visa. You will need a Certificate of Sponsorship from your college or university and you will also need to satisfy that you have an adequate level of English language and the required funds to stay in the UK. In order to be able to extend your student visa whilst in the UK you will need to show good progress on your course and attendance levels. In March 2009, overseas students will be part of the UK’s new “Tier 4”, which will seek increased financial commitments from applicants. Currently, overseas students are allowed to work 20 hours during term time and full time during holidays. We expect this to continue under the new Tier 4 criteria. Paragon Law is the retained adviser to some of the largest UK universities and colleges. We advise their international students on making successful entry clearance applications, extension of visas and where necessary applications for students dependents. When your course is coming to an end, Paragon Law can help you apply for Leave to Remain in the UK under Tier 1 (Post-Study) or discuss other options that are available to you. Key Contacts |
